Antique Black Long Victorian Style Ruffled Bottom Skirt
This skirt is a bit of a mystery to me. It is obviously antique, i think it’s a silk taffeta blend fabric. There are no tags. It was machine stitched, with a small discolored top inside band. Opening in the back with no closures. No pockets. Has a few areas of the fabric that has some wear and is thinning and a few seams where the stitching is loose. No large holes or damage. It is obviously very old but i’m not sure when it was actually made. The style is of the victorian era, but I can’t believe it would be in such good condition. Has a trumpet flare at the bottom. Maybe it’s a very old costume piece but I’m not sure. Beautiful bottom ruffling with satin ribbon ruffle detailing.
