Gorgeous designer signed F  B (brothers) storyteller sterling silver hinged, bypass clamper bracelet. Made in Taxco, Mexico in the late 1940’s.  Has an Eagle assay mark with a number in the middle that I can’t quite make out.  Spring hinged double sided hand silversmiths repoussé hollow work with cactus, gauchos, vaqueros, men in sombreros and adobe house scenery. Not only is this bracelet hollow work but openwork as well. Intricately detailed designs with lots of cut outs and negative space. Storyteller bracelets were called so as they pictorially told the history and stories of the region. This one is extreemly detailed with lots of negative space, being very difficult to do and taking a very skilled mastery of silversmithing to achieve. The Balladares brothers are very well known and collectible masters of this art form.

3 5/8 inches long (from top to bottom balls in from)

7.25” circumference (adjustable with spring hinge larger)

width of each side is 1.5” in the front and reduces to 1.25” at the back where the hinge is.

Marked F Balladares / Sterling 925 / Eagle Stamp

Spring is tight. Excellent condition!
